Meet at 10 am at the McKeough dam parking area on Holt Line, east side of the North Sydenham River. Walk along the diversion channel and explore the new wetland that was created while repairing some needed infrastructure.
Birders are out in nature looking at our birds, but who is watching the bird watchers? Is there an observable bird watching culture? Paul Nicholson, lifelong birder and the bird watching columnist for the London Free Press, will share his thoughts on this unusual but interesting theme.
Dr. Daria Koscinski, Conservation Property Manager for Thames Talbot Land Trust, will help us to sort out the friends from the foes. She will describe the impacts of nasty invasives, and shed light on helpful local and legislative responses.
